Brezza - Ruina

Brezza is a project by Fabio Battistetti with an electroacoustic approach inspired by the breath of the wind. Brezza explores the sound in its resonance and movement through the air relying solely on improvisation. Initially launched in 2018 as a live improvisation project and recently evolved into a compositional process combining improvised pieces with instruments and sound objects following the breeze’s ebb and flow, sometimes light and sometimes intense.

The compositional process of Ruina has been guided by relating non-musical objects with self-built instruments and abstract sounds in order to immerse in a bath of sound mediated by short and regular cycles of breeze.
